WEYMOUTH boss Brian Stock was delighted to bounce back with a 4-2 win at Slough Town following a first half in which the Terras were not “at the races”.
Stock’s men impressively recovered twice from one-goal deficits, Andreas Robinson cancelling out two Ben Harris strikes – secondly with a stunning free-kick.
Cody Cooke and Jake McCarthy were also on target as Weymouth remained unbeaten in pre-season.
Speaking to uptheterras.co.uk, Stock said: “The result was a positive one but the performance in the first half was below our standards.
“A few words were said at half-time and again, it epitomises the squad we have to go out and control the game in the manner we did and scored some very good goals in the process.
“We just weren’t at the races first-half, our intensity was low, our organisation was poor, our pass detail was slow.
“We worked on one or two things and changed the formation. It gave us a basis to regain possession. Credit to the lads, they went out and performed well.”
