Yardstick has been set by Terras, says boss Brian Stock

Defensive lapses saw Michael Creek net a penalty and Nassim L’Ghoul finish off a rapid counter-attack before Ben Williamson notched the Ravens’ third.

Weymouth had chances to level after Tom Whelan despatched a late penalty but could not find the point their display warranted.

Speaking to Echosport, Stock believes Weymouth will win more regularly if they can match the levels seen at Bromley.

He said: “Throughout the whole game I was delighted with how every player conducted themselves, how brave they were on the ball.

“When I look at the first five games and the fact that we were struggling to score and put balls in the box, get bodies forward, pressing with the intensity I demand, that was everything I wanted in a performance.

“If we go into every game this year playing that way, I’ll be more than delighted because we’ll win more games than we’ll lose.

“I thought we were going to get a point. If there was a negative, it would be that we’ve conceded another couple of poor goals.

“I didn’t want to talk about it at half-time because there were so many positives.

“Again, we’ve given away a penalty when we could’ve done better. We’ve had a corner and they’ve broken and scored, which should never really happen.

“The third, although Jack (Bycroft) has been absolutely outstanding for us, he’ll probably look at it and think maybe he should’ve saved it.

“He’s been fantastic for us and although we’ve conceded four sloppy goals in the last two games, when you reflect on performances between Saturday and Tuesday it’s like chalk and cheese.”
