WEYMOUTH boss Brian Stock has “loved” his first four months in charge of the Terras but admitted: “It’s not easy”.

Stock has overseen Weymouth’s transition into National League football for the first time in 11 years, following previous manager Mark Molesley’s achievement of successive promotions.

However, the part-time Terras have struggled on their return to non-League’s top flight, winning just two of 16 league games to lie 21st of 23 teams.

“I’ve loved it,” Stock told Echosport. “There aren’t many things I don’t think I’ve had thrown at me in terms of what I’ve faced when you look at the pandemic and Covid.

“It affected a part-time team and trying to get back up to speed has been hard.

“It’s not easy. We’re in a situation where we’ve got to fight for our lives now and we need people that are up for that.

“It’s up to me to highlight those players and bring players in that are ready to go to war.”
