DORCHESTER Town have reinforced their midfield with the work experience loan signing of Ferdinand Okoh from Premier League side AFC Bournemouth.

The teenager has experience of the Southern League Premier South already this season with title-chasing Truro City.

Okoh played the full 90 minutes as Truro beat Dorchester 4-0 following an injury to keeper Brad Snelling.

However, Okoh was then an unused substitute from the Cornish side as Dorchester got revenge with a 1-0 home victory in mid-December.

Okoh has high pedigree in the academy system, having learned his trade at London clubs West Ham United and Tottenham Hotspur.

Dorchester incorporated Okoh into Thursday night’s training session and he could make his debut at Hartley Wintney this afternoon (3pm).

Joining until the end of the season, Okoh provides competition in midfield for fellow loanee Alex Moyse, Charlie Gunson and Jordan Ngalo.

He is the first Cherries player to join Dorchester since Jack Wadham late in the 2021-22 season.
