GOALKEEPER Will Dennis has signed a new two-year deal with Cherries, extending his stay at Vitality Stadium beyond the end of the season.

With his contract expiring this summer, Cherries have moved to tie down the goalkeeping prospect until 2026.

The 23-year-old academy graduate has made one senior appearance for Cherries, playing the entirety of the third round FA Cup win over Oldham Athletic in 2021.

Dennis is currently on loan at Scottish Premiership side Kilmarnock, where he has impressed with his performances in between the sticks.

With 11 clean sheets in 28 appearances across multiple competitions, Dennis has helped Killy rise to fourth in the league table, with a chance of qualifying for Europe on the cards.

Dennis’ performances north of the border had reportedly attracted interest from Glasgow giants Rangers and Celtic, who were apparently tracking the goalie with a free transfer in mind.

Chief executive Neill Blake told afcb.co.uk: “We’re pleased that Will has committed his future to the club, having made huge progress on his current loan spell.

“Will is gaining excellent experience at Kilmarnock, playing regularly and competing for a European qualification spot, and he’s a talented young player who adds strength to our goalkeeping department.”
