AFC Bournemouth head coach Andoni Iraola and Dango Ouattara’s exploits have been recognised after they were named in the Premier League’s team of the week.

Ouattara once again impressed out of position at left-back on Sunday, providing an assist as Cherries defeated Brighton & Hove Albion 3-0 at Vitality Stadium.

The Burkina Faso international showed commitment to the cause by flying into the stands to ensure his cross found Enes Unal for Cherries’ second goal.

Cherries’ dominant display also earnt Iraola a spot in the team of the week, as the best boss of the weekend.

The side, picked by Premier League legend Alan Shearer, also included household names such as Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka and Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne.

Providing the reasoning for selecting the Burkinabe, Shearer wrote on the Premier League’s website: "A very solid game. The winger-turned-full-back was immense, showing dedication to get onto a pass and pick out Enes Unal, who headed home Bournemouth's second goal."

Discussing Iraola, Shearer then added: “Secured back-to-back wins for Bournemouth and looking to end the season on a very good run of form, with the Cherries now in the top half of the table."

Cherries return to action this weekend when they visit title-chasing Arsenal on Saturday (12.30pm).
