WELL done to those who protested the latest lockdown in Bournemouth on Saturday.
This latest lockdown was instigated on the basis of a false scenario of 4,000 deaths a day (condemned by the UK statistics authority) and a leaked press release.
Lockdowns are not symptom free, as opposed to many tested positive with a PCR test. The destruction of jobs, livelihoods, mental health and the condemnation of elderly relatives in their last months to affectionate human contact is criminal.
Johnson and Hancock are apparently going to give us their permission to meet up with our own families at Christmas. How thoughtful.
But as Lord Sumption, in his excellent article in the Mail on Sunday, said, “Balance and proportion are for life and not just for Christmas.”
